There is an option to BYOT (bring your own tent) and camp instead of driving back into Portland. There are plenty of lodging options in Hillsboro and surrounding areas. Since this is outside of Portland proper, please allow yourself time to sit in traffic. Not sure if this will matter BUT : "All southbound lanes of Interstate 5 through Portland’s Rose Quarter will close beginning Sept. 11th Construction will run 24 hours a day. Drivers heading into downtown PDX can use the North Broadway exit bear the Moda Center, while all other southbound traffic will be detoured to Interstate 405. Regional traffic is encouraged to use Interstate 205. ODOT warns of significant delays and unpredictable travel times across the city."
